Industrial Sales Associate – Endries International, Inc.
Endries International, Inc. a leading distributor of fasteners and other class “c” items and provider of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) worldwide, is expanding and is seeking an industrial sales associate to fill an immediate need in Central Indiana/Western Ohio. Endries is looking for an individual to implement a measured and disciplined growth strategy in Central Indiana/Western Ohio. You will have full responsibility for business development in your territory.
Our market consists of a diverse group of OEM’s who appreciate our technological advantages, engineering support and service focus. We have over 50 branches in the USA and operations in Canada, Mexico, Taiwan, China and Europe.
Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Sales Associate you will –
- Generate growth from new accounts in the assigned region
- Increase market share by developing relationships with decision makers at the most senior level as well as site personnel and other decision influencers
- Utilize professional selling skills in order to maximize sales profit potential from the territory
- Identify sales prospects and initiate contact.
- Prepare and execute presentations, proposals and sales contracts
- Maintain at all times a positive mental attitude to customers and fellow associates
- Prepare a variety of territory status reports – including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information and/or feedback gathered through field activity to the Sales Manager
- Prepare annually detailed target documents submitted to the Sales Manager relating to sales forecasts
Qualifications:
A successful associate will be goal oriented, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines, build relationships and enjoy a team atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess value added selling experience and the ability to sell across various departments within the prospects business.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred.
- OEM sales experience a plus
- Self-Motivated and the desire to prospect for new accounts.
- Ability and desire to build a territory from the ground up.
- Reside in the territory and able to travel locally and stay overnight as required
- 1-2 years of sales experience is required. Industrial sales a big plus.
- MS Excel and PowerPoint experience is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Compensation:
- Base pay package (salary) plus unlimited commission opportunity.
